Lexus Phases Out Electric UX 300e Crossover in Key Markets: What's Next for EV Enthusiasts?
The premium brand Lexus has stopped selling the fully electric crossover UX 300e in several countries. The UX model is now only offered with hybrid powertrains.
What's known
The UX 300e appeared in 2020 and was Lexus' first mass-produced electric vehicle. The compact crossover is built on the basis of the same-named hybrid model. Initially, the car was equipped with a 54.3 kWh battery. In 2022, the model received a 72.8 kWh battery, increasing the range to approximately 450 km according to the WLTP cycle.
According to Auto Express, the electric version disappeared from the online configurator of Lexus in the UK. A Lexus UK representative confirmed that the model was withdrawn from sale at the end of 2025, without specifying reasons. The most likely factor is low demand.
Checks of local Lexus websites showed that in Germany, France, the UK, and the USA, the UX is now available only in the hybrid version 300h. In Germany, prices for the UX 300h start at 45,200 euros, and the F Sport version with the same powertrain can cost up to 63,100 euros. In France, the starting price is 45,000 euros. In the USA, the model is offered from $38,250 excluding taxes.
The fully electric UX 300e has not yet completely disappeared. In Norway, it remains on sale in the Edition35 variant. The cost of this version is 405,000 Norwegian kroner, which is equivalent to approximately 36,100 euros.
