Samsung has registered the Galaxy Z Roll name for its stretchable smartphone
We've already written on numerous occasions that Samsung is working on a stretchable smartphone. It seems that the manufacturer has already decided on the name of the new item.
What we know
According to LetsGoDigital, the company has registered the name Galaxy Z Roll with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). Most likely, this will be the name of the device. There are no exact dates for the release of the new items yet, but they say that the smartphone will be shown at the end of this year or early next year.
Samsung Galaxy Z Roll will compete with OPPO X 2021. By the way, the device with the same form factor was developed by LG before it closed its mobile division.
As a reminder, yesterday Samsung Display showed a prototype of a stretchable screen at Display Week in San Jose, California. Most likely, this is what the future smartphone will look like.
