South of Midnight's Magical Adventure Expands to PlayStation 5 and Switch 2 This March 31st!

Xbox Game Studios and Compulsion Games have revealed the release date for the adventure “folk-action” South of Midnight on two more platforms.

What is known

On March 31, PlayStation 5 and Switch 2 users will join the company of gamers on PC and Xbox. Relevant trailers have been published on Sony and Nintendo channels, and all those interested can pre-order to receive a number of in-game bonuses.

Recall, South of Midnight is a dynamic action game from the authors of the conceptual dystopia We Happy Few, set in an alternate rural Southern USA, where local folklore blends with magic and fantasy monsters.

The game features unusual locations and memorable enemies. The main character, Hazel, possesses several supernatural abilities that allow her to sense echoes of the past and use magic. On her journey, she encounters peculiar monsters and meets interesting characters.

The game was released in April 2025 and received good reviews, but went unnoticed by the broad public, although it was recognized with an award at TGA 2025 in the category “Best Game with a Special Message.”
