Xiaomi Set to Leap from 17 to 26 in Bold Smartphone Rebranding Move

Xiaomi may conduct another rebranding of its flagship smartphone line.

Recall, in 2025, the Chinese company skipped the sixteenth series and after Xiaomi 15 released Xiaomi 17 to compete with the iPhone 17 series.

Now, according to insider Digital Chat Station, the Chinese might jump from Xiaomi 17 directly to Xiaomi 26.

What is known

Besides the obvious simplification of smartphone release systematics, this decision is also dictated by the new trend set by Apple. The American corporation abandoned the number 19 for iOS, Mac, and other firmware, and replaced it with “26”, thereby starting a new numbering system.

It is expected that besides smartphones, Xiaomi will also spread these changes to its own shell, and now instead of HyperOS 4, the company may release HyperOS 26.

This information has not yet received official confirmation, but it seems absolutely logical.
