Asus has introduced the new mini-PC NUC 16 Pro — a compact, yet high-performance system based on Intel Panther Lake processors, aimed at professional tasks, AI development, and corporate use.

What is Known

The NUC 16 Pro succeeds the NUC 14 Pro model and has seen a noticeable performance boost. The device is equipped with Intel Arc B390 graphics and can deliver up to 180 TOPS of computing power in artificial intelligence tasks due to the combination of CPU, iGPU, and NPU (Intel NPU 5). This makes the mini-PC suitable for edge computing, data analysis, AI model development, and use as a compact workstation.

The model supports up to 96 GB of fast LPDDR5X memory with speeds of up to 9600 MT/s in the higher-end versions, while the Ultra 5 and Ultra 7 configurations allow for up to 128 GB DDR5 CSO-DIMM. The dual-fan cooling system ensures stable operation under high load, which is especially important for professional scenarios.

Available communication options include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and two 2.5G LAN network ports. Additionally, support for Intel vPro technologies is announced in certain configurations, making the device convenient for corporate management and remote monitoring.

All Asus NUC 16 Pro Ports

  • 2× USB-A 3.2 Gen 2
  • 1× USB-C 3.2 Gen 2
  • 2× Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) — DisplayPort support
  • 2× HDMI 2.1 (some materials mention "or DisplayPort", but real devices — HDMI 2.1)
  • 2× USB-A 3.2
  • 2× Ethernet 2.5G (RJ-45).

The Asus NUC 16 Pro supports up to 4 displays simultaneously via a combination of Thunderbolt 4 + HDMI 2.1.

The sales of Asus NUC 16 Pro have already started, but not in all regions and currently only the version with Core Ultra 7 356H is available. The flagship modification with Core Ultra X9 388H is expected later and will become the most productive option in the lineup.
