POCO C85x 5G: Budget Smartphone with Massive Battery and Stunning 120Hz Display!
The Chinese brand POCO has unveiled the C85x 5G — the most budget-friendly smartphone that offers excellent features despite the minimal price.
What is known
POCO C85x 5G features a large 6.9” IPS display with an adaptive refresh rate of 1-120 Hz and a peak brightness of 810 nits. The screen is TÜV Rheinland certified and equipped with blue light reduction and flicker-free technologies, making it more comfortable for prolonged use.
Obviously, high performance is not to be expected as the gadget uses a weak Unisoc T8300 chipset, supplemented by 4 GB of RAM with the possibility of virtual RAM expansion and storage of 64 or 128 GB, which can be increased with a microSD card up to 1 TB. The device runs Android 16 with the HyperOS shell.
The main camera of the smartphone has a 32 MP sensor, and the front one — 8 MP.
One of the key advantages of the model is the 6300 mAh battery — one of the largest among budget smartphones. According to the manufacturer, the battery will provide more than two days of autonomy. POCO C85x 5G supports 15 W wired charging and 7.5 W reverse charging, allowing it to be used as a power bank for other devices. The manufacturer states that the battery will retain at least 80% capacity after 1000 charging cycles.
POCO C85x 5G is equipped with a 5G module, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi‑Fi, GPS, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and FM radio. The case is splash-resistant according to IP52 standards, and a fingerprint scanner is embedded in the side power button.
Sales of POCO C85x 5G will start in India on March 14 at a price of about $120 (converted from rupees). A global release is expected in the coming weeks.
