Resident Evil Requiem game director Koshi Nakanishi (Koshi Nakanishi) first addressed gamers after the super-successful release of the new horror game, whose sales exceeded 5 million copies in less than a week shattered all records.

He thanked the players for their great interest in the new installment of the iconic series and excellent reviews, as well as shared important information.

What is known

Koshi Nakanishi spoke about the post-release support for Resident Evil Requiem and confirmed that the game will receive at least one story expansion, which is already in development.

With this DLC, Capcom will “immerse gamers deeper into the world of Requiem,” but the head requests players to be patient, as the development of the expansion will take some more time.

In addition, “around May,” the game will receive a free update with some mini-game, photo mode, and, quite possibly, additional costumes.

The game director demonstratively casually dropped a few images, one of which shows Leon Kennedy with the inscription “Forbidden Requiem,” standing with a girl whose face is turned away, and the other - concept art of the card mini-game.

Gamers have long speculated that the Requiem expansion will be dedicated to Leon, and now this theory has received indirect confirmation.

Upon release, critics and gamers expressed bewilderment over the absence of the traditional “Mercenaries” mode in the new game, but it is quite possible that it will be added as part of the post-release support.

Resident Evil Requiem is available on PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series.
