Nissan has unveiled an updated version of the Nissan X-Trail crossover. The model received targeted design changes, new software, and refined driver assistance systems.

What's changed?

The front V-Motion grille has become wider and lost its massive chrome trim. The design of the rear LED lights has changed, and some of the unpainted plastic has been replaced with painted elements. New 19-inch wheels and two body colors are also offered — Sukumo Blue and Baja Storm.

The interior configuration remains the same: starting with the N-Connecta configuration, two 12.3-inch displays are installed. However, now the multimedia system runs on the Google built-in platform. This means built-in Google Maps, Google Assistant services, and the Google Play app store. Some vehicle functions can be controlled by voice through the "Hey Google" command, such as seat heating or climate control.

The surround view system received a new "invisible hood" feature: the electronics create an image of the space in front of the front wheels, simplifying driving off-road and maneuvering in tight spots.

The Nissan ProPILOT Assist driver assistance system has also been updated. It more accurately recognizes road signs and controls acceleration and braking more smoothly.

The N-Trek version, aimed at active recreation, stands out separately. It received Magma Red decorative accents, black and red badges, more durable bumpers, black roof rails, 19-inch wheels, and a panoramic roof. The CellCloth water-repellent material is used in the interior, and rubber mats and a double-sided trunk mat are provided.

The crossover retained the e-Power system: a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo engine works as a generator, and the wheels are driven by electric motors.

Two versions are available:

  • 204 HP and 330 Nm, front-wheel drive
  • 213 HP and 330 Nm, all-wheel drive e-4ORCE with an additional electric motor on the rear axle
  • It is likely that the range will also maintain a 1.5 mild hybrid gasoline version with 163 HP

Sales of the updated Nissan X-Trail in Europe will begin in late summer 2026. Prices have not yet been announced, but a slight increase is expected due to the expanded list of standard equipment.
