The genre of unconventional survival simulators has an interesting addition — publisher Dreamhaven and studio Kintsugiyama have announced the game The Legend of California, whose events will unfold at the beginning of the 'gold rush', when prospectors from around the world flocked to California in hopes of getting rich.

The Legend of California is a multiplayer first-person shooter with survival elements. You can play alone or with a company of up to four people, and in that case all found resources are shared among the players.

Gamers will find themselves in a dangerous territory where lawlessness reigns and all issues are resolved with weapons. As in most games of this genre, in The Legend of California, it is necessary to monitor the character's condition, gather and cook food, search for and create useful items, build temporary and permanent shelters, hunt animals, and protect against bandits.
