BAFTA Games Awards 2026: Clair Obscur Leads with 12 Nominations, Dispatch and Ghost of Yōtei Follow

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has announced a list of games that will compete for the title of best projects of 2025 in various categories.

The most awarded game of the past year, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, could substantially increase its list of awards as it leads in the number of nominations — the game is presented in 12 categories and has a high chance of winning in each.

The second most nominated game is another hit from a small team of independent developers — Dispatch. The superhero comedy is up for nine awards, while the action game Ghost of Yōtei set in Japan is up for eight.

More than 1,400 professionals — developers, artists, screenwriters, producers, and other gaming industry specialists — are involved in determining the winners. They evaluate games released between November 16, 2024, and November 14, 2025.

The triumphant winners of the BAFTA Games Awards 2026 will be announced on April 17.
