Companies NVIDIA and Bolt will collaborate in the field of autonomous transport. This was announced at the NVIDIA GTC 2026 conference. The European ride-sharing service plans to use NVIDIA technologies to create robotaxis, while the chip manufacturer will gain access to vast amounts of trip data.

What is Known

Bolt will use several NVIDIA tools for training autonomous driving systems. The Cosmos platform will help the company organize and analyze trip data. With the Omniverse environment, the service will be able to create digital twins of real traffic situations to reproduce them in a virtual environment and generate additional training data.

For training artificial intelligence, the Alpamayo model, specifically developed for autonomous vehicles, will also be used. It will help systems better adapt to road conditions in European cities. Additionally, Bolt plans to integrate the Drive Hyperion platform into future self-driving cars.

The company notes that combining NVIDIA technologies with real data from Bolt's fleet should help create a scalable autonomous mobility system for Europe's complex road conditions.

Bolt is already preparing for the development of autonomous transport. At the end of 2025, the company also announced partnerships with Pony.ai and Stellantis.

The timing for the appearance of robotaxis based on NVIDIA technologies has not yet been announced. Meanwhile, the companies state that data from Bolt's fleet will be processed according to the requirements of the European GDPR personal data protection legislation, and some tools are planned to be made available for universities and small businesses.
