Lucasfilm and Disney reminded about the upcoming premiere of the new Star Wars animated series with the subtitle Shadow Lord, which will continue the story of the famous red-skinned former Sith Darth Maul, and released a new trailer.

What is Known

Maul is no longer a Sith and is in conflict with the Emperor and his agents, as shown in the new footage. Palpatine shows no mercy to his former student and deploys massive resources to capture him, as Maul not only possesses the Force but also has extensive connections in the criminal underworld.

The events of Star Wars: Maul — Shadow Lord will unfold a year after the finale of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The ambitious protagonist will once again attempt to restore the influence of his criminal organization “Crimson Dawn,” while in his spare time, he will teach a young disciple who fled from the Jedi Order and no longer wants to follow their Code.

As in The Clone Wars, viewers can expect excellent graphics and spectacular staging, and Maul will once again be voiced by actor Sam Witwer.

When to Expect

Star Wars: Maul — Shadow Lord premieres on April 6 on the Disney+ streaming service.
