The Luna Glass AR-glasses have gained a visibility enhancement feature for individuals with visual impairments. The device uses a camera and augmented reality to enhance the real-time image of the environmental surroundings, making it brighter and more contrasting.

What is known

The glasses project the processed image directly in front of the user's eyes using semi-transparent mirrors, allowing them to see both the real world and its enhanced version simultaneously. The solution is designed for people with visual impairments, particularly those with glaucoma and macular degeneration.

According to the developers, Luna Glass can be beneficial even for users who have about 10% of their vision remaining. The device helps better navigate in dark conditions, recognize objects, and move more safely in the evening.

The glasses operate in real-time mode: the built-in camera captures the image, after which the system increases brightness and contrast before displaying it. In terms of autonomy, Luna Glass provides 1 to 1.5 hours of operation and can connect to an external battery via USB-C.

The company has opened registration for the first batch. Deliveries are expected in the first quarter of 2026.
