Netflix Unveils Intense Sibling Rivalry in Devil May Cry Season 2 Teaser: Dante vs Vergil Showdown

The streaming service Netflix has released the first teaser for the second season of the animated series Devil May Cry, based on the eponymous game franchise by Capcom.

The audience was shown the main theme of the new episodes - the confrontation between Dante and Vergil, who are both biological brothers and Nephilim — offspring of the demon Sparda and the angel Eva. Once, the brothers were friendly, but after their parents were killed on a fateful night, they were separated for a long time, and Vergil held a grudge against Dante, growing to hate him. Both heroes possess immense power and are excellent fighters, so every encounter between them turns into an incredibly spectacular and intense battle.

The second season of Devil May Cry is helmed by the eccentric showrunner Adi Shankar — the author of popular animated projects such as Castlevania and Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix. Previously, he mentioned that the difference between the first and second seasons is roughly like that between the films 'Batman Begins' and 'The Dark Knight'. 

The premiere of the second season of Devil May Cry will take place on May 12 exclusively on Netflix.
