The streaming service Crunchyroll has become available as a new channel in the Apple TV app. According to 9to5Mac, this is the first significant expansion of the Apple TV Channels feature in a long time.

What is known

From now on, users in the US, Canada, UK, and Australia can subscribe to Crunchyroll directly in the Apple TV app. The service offers a one-week free period, after which the cost is $10 per month. The entire anime library is available for viewing without installing a separate application—the content is played directly within the Apple ecosystem.

The Channels feature, which Apple launched back in 2019, allows subscriptions through Apple ID and watching content from different services in a single interface. Key advantages include no need for third-party apps, support for offline downloads, sharing access via Family Sharing, and a single Apple video player.
