Philips announced the flagship gaming monitor Evnia 32M2N8900X for demanding users, which received a modern QD-OLED panel and support for the most advanced technologies.

Key Features

The monitor is equipped with a 32" screen with 4K resolution (3840×2160 pixels) and a refresh rate of 240 Hz, which ensures the smoothest image even in the most dynamic games.

The QD-OLED matrix provides:

  • virtually instant response (about 0.03 ms),
  • high contrast and deep black color,
  • wide color coverage (up to 99.5% DCI-P3).

The declared basic peak brightness is 300 nits, in HDR mode it increases to 515 nits on 10% of the panel (10% APL) and up to 1000 nits in small areas (3% APL), which allowed the monitor to receive the DisplayHDR True Black 500 certificate — this makes the monitor also ideal for movie watching.

The model is equipped with 5W stereo speakers (two-channel) with bass boost and DTS Sound technology.

Improvements and Features

Compared to the previous model, the new product received several noticeable upgrades:

  • anti-glare coating with increased durability,
  • brighter SDR image (about 20%),
  • RGB Q-Stripe sub-pixel structure,
  • improved panel cooling.

Special attention deserves the proprietary Ambiglow backlight, which synchronizes with the image on the screen and enhances the immersive effect.

Functionality and Connectivity

Evnia 32M2N8900X received a rich set of interfaces including DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1, USB Type-A, USB Type-B, and USB Type-C with power support up to 65W. There is also a built-in KVM switch that allows you to control multiple devices with a single set of peripherals.

Availability

At the moment, the monitor is only available in China, information about global launch and pricing has not yet been disclosed.
