Vivo X300 Ultra Debuts: First Smartphone with Dual 200MP Sensors and Stunning Photography Kit
Yesterday, Vivo X300 Ultra debuted in China — the first smartphone with two 200 MP sensors.
This event is important in itself for the photo-flagship market, as the Chinese brand has significantly raised the bar for its competitors in mobile photography.
The novelty has attracted great interest among lovers of quality shots, bloggers, and professional photographers not only thanks to its innovative camera system but also to impressive accessories from the Photography Kit. To further demonstrate the capabilities of Vivo X300 Ultra, the company published a selection of photos taken with the new smartphone. Importantly, no fine adjustments, special lighting, or focal distance were used at the time of shooting. All shots were taken deliberately casually, with a “random press,” as often happens in everyday life. And it should be noted that the wide-angle, medium-focus, or telephoto lens takes excellent photos, regardless of conditions and settings.
For Those Unaware
The main feature of Vivo X300 Ultra is the advanced camera system developed in collaboration with Zeiss. The smartphone features a “3+2” configuration with three main modules and additional accessories. At its core is the 200 MP main sensor Sony LYTIA 901, complemented by a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 200 MP periscopic telephoto lens. All modules are equipped with optical stabilization, and the device supports video shooting in 4K at 120 FPS with a 10-bit Log profile.
Vivo X300 Ultra is aimed not only at photographers but also videographers: support for professional workflows is announced, including compatibility with cinematic post-processing standards. Additionally, the smartphone is equipped with a four-microphone system for high-quality sound recording.
The external optical accessories offered by Vivo for the X300 Ultra deserve special attention. The smartphone supports professional modules, including the ZEISS telescopic converter with a magnification of about 2.35× and more advanced solutions up to the equivalent of 400 mm, significantly expanding the shooting capabilities at long distances. The brand's Photography Kit also includes a detachable lens, adapters, protective cases, and an ergonomic grip with physical controls — shutter button, zoom, and exposure adjustment. Combined with a camera “cage” and additional accessories, this system effectively turns the smartphone into a modular camera, aimed at enthusiasts and professionals in mobile photography.
