With the release of Galaxy S21 smartphones, Samsung has removed charging devices from the kit. It looks like a similar situation will be with Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch Active 4 smart watches.

What we know

Both new items were noticed in the database of the Chinese certification agency 3C. Galaxy Watch Active 4 is numbered SM-R860 (39mm) and SM-R870 (43mm), while Galaxy Watch 4 is numbered SM-R880 (41mm) and SM-R890 (45mm). According to the documents, the new items will be delivered without chargers. In addition, the certification revealed that the watches will have support for 5-watt wireless charging.

Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch Active 4 will be run by a proprietary 5-nanometer SoC. The watch is also expected with thin bezels around the displays, aluminum and stainless steel cases, as well as the Wear OS operating system, where Tizen OS will be integrated.

When to expect

According to the insider, Samsung has already launched mass production of the watch. Therefore, new items should be presented in the coming months.
