The flagship smartphone race continues, and after the release of the S26 series in March 2026, Samsung is actively working on the next lineup. It was expected to consist of three devices, but information has surfaced about the Korean company's expanded plans.

What is known

The Korean edition ETNews, citing its own sources, reported that the Galaxy S27 series will consist of four smartphones: a Pro model will be added to the base, Ultra, and Plus versions.

Previously, insiders reported such a possibility, but it was about the base version of the S26, which ultimately did not receive the Pro label.

As for the new smartphone, journalists are confident it will be an exact copy of the Galaxy S27 Ultra and will even support all its unique features, including the Privacy Display. Its only distinction will be the lack of compatibility with the proprietary S-Pen stylus, meaning there will be no slot for it.

It is believed that Samsung will resort to this decision to enhance competition with Apple, which offers four premium iPhone options. Meanwhile, it is worth noting that the company had previously abandoned the series of ultra-thin Edge smartphones.
