The X social network has updated its built-in photo editor and added new editing tools using the Grok AI assistant. Users have the opportunity to change images using text prompts—just describe the desired result, and the system automatically makes the necessary corrections.

What is known

The update includes features such as face blurring, adding text, drawing on the photo, and editing individual elements. In a demonstration by X product leader Nikita Bier, an example is shown where the image is changed to look like a museum exhibit.

A similar approach to 'conversational' editing is already used by Google Photos with AI Gemini support, where users can also change the background or individual details through text commands.

The updated photo editor is already available on iOS. The Android version is planned to launch soon.
