In recent days, information has been spreading online stating that the first foldable iPhone, which is rumored to be named Ultra, will not be presented in the fall of 2026 as previously planned by Apple. Sources claimed that the American company encountered some production difficulties and would be forced to postpone the announcement.

This news caused a lot of noise and worried Apple investors, but today a reputable publication refuted it.

What is known

Journalist Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, whose information is trustworthy, reports that he hasn't heard of any problems that could prevent Apple from releasing the ambitious gadget on time. He is confident that the iPhone Ultra (Fold) will be presented in September 2026 simultaneously with other new smartphones, including the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max flagships, and its sales will start either simultaneously with the iPhone 18 lineup or shortly after it.

It is expected that in its unfolded state, the iPhone Ultra (Fold) will have an aspect ratio of 4:3, and the crease between the displays will be almost invisible. The design will be made as reliable as possible thanks to a liquid metal hinge, and the expected price of the new product may exceed $2000.
