Razer's New Hammerhead V3 HyperSpeed: Wireless Earbuds with Game-Changing Charging Case Innovation

Razer has updated its lineup of TWS headphones and released the Hammerhead V3 HyperSpeed model. The main innovation of the device is the reimagined approach to connection: now the charging case itself acts as a wireless transmitter (dongle).

Case as a control center

Unlike most gaming TWS headphones, where the user has to carry a separate USB adapter, in Hammerhead V3 HyperSpeed the 2.4 GHz dongle is built into the charging case itself. The case connects to PCs, PlayStation consoles, Nintendo Switch, or smartphones via the built-in USB-C port, providing audio transmission with minimal latency. This solution eliminates the risk of losing a small accessory and simplifies the use of headphones on different platforms.

Smart lighting

The Hammerhead V3 HyperSpeed case has a small RGB strip — it is not only a design element but also performs several tasks. The Razer Chroma RGB indicator displays connection status: the strip changes color or pulsation mode depending on the connection — via Bluetooth or through the high-speed HyperSpeed protocol (2.4 GHz).

The LED strip also serves as a visual indicator of remaining power. When opening the case or charging it, it signals the battery status.

As with other devices in the Razer ecosystem, the lighting can be fully customized through the Razer Audio or Razer Chroma app. You can choose a static color, “breathing,” or cycling through a spectrum to match the headphones with your other devices.

Technological features

Hammerhead V3 HyperSpeed features a hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC) system that effectively cuts off external noise, allowing you to fully focus on gaming or music. The sound quality is ensured by updated drivers with THX Spatial Audio certification, creating a 7.1 surround sound effect.

For mobile use, a modern Bluetooth 6.0 protocol is provided, guaranteeing stable connection and energy efficiency. As a result, the total autonomy of the set reaches up to 40 hours (10 hours from a single charge of the headphones and an additional 30 hours provided by the case).

Availability and price

The novelty is already on sale on Razer's official website for $130.
