Xiaomi introduced a speaker with a built-in camera for video conferencing in Skype, Zoom and Microsoft Teams for $312

Xiaomi has announced a new device in China for corporate customers and not only.

What kind of gadget

This is a speaker with a built-in video conferencing camera. The device looks like a soundbar and is powered by a Qualcomm APQ805 dual-core processor. It is responsible for image processing and 4K video output.

The gadget has one plug-in microphone, six built-in ones that pick up voices and adjust their volume at a distance of up to 5 meters, two 2.5-inch speakers and an intelligent noise cancellation system. As for the camera, it got a Sony sensor. The sensor supports 120 degrees of coverage and 8x digital zoom. 

You can use the speaker in Skype, Zoom, Microsoft Teams and other services.

Price and when to expect

The novelty has already begun to be sold in China at the price $312.
