Hades II Launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S with Stunning 4K at 120 FPS Performance

One of the highest-rated games of 2025 has reached PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles — we're talking about the roguelike action game Hades II set in ancient Greek mythology. By the way, the title immediately made it into the Xbox Game Pass catalog.

The developers have completely transferred the game's content from PC and ensured high performance, allowing it to run at 4K at 120 FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X, while on the more modest Xbox Series S, the resolution is limited to 1080p, but the frame rate also reaches 120 FPS.

Of course, Supergiant Games adapted the controls for gamepads and slightly adjusted the interface for this purpose.

Hades II needs no introduction, it was released in early access on Steam and EGS in 2024 and already impressed the public. In 2025, the action received a full release, topped the top-20 highest-rated games of the year according to OpenCritic, and became available on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.

The story centers on the witch Melinoë, who challenges the Titan of Time, Cronus, and must both descend into the underworld and ascend to Olympus to achieve her goals.

Hades II features nearly infinite replayability, colossal variability in character development, and a vast number of amusing dialogues with characters from ancient Greek mythology, and its soundtrack is beyond praise.
