Garmin has released a new beta update for its flagship Garmin Fenix 8 series smartwatches. Version 22.24 aims to fix bugs that appeared after the previous update with the LiveTrack feature.

What is known

The update applies to several models at once, including the Fenix 8 AMOLED, Fenix 8 Solar, Fenix 8 Pro, as well as the Enduro 3, Fenix E and Tactix 8. The release came just days after the beta version 22.23, which added the ability to automatically start LiveTrack depending on the type of activity.

In version 22.24, the company fixed a bug that prevented LiveTrack from starting automatically during multisport training if it began with a swimming session in the pool. The bug that blocked incoming calls after a heart rate anomaly notification was also fixed.

Additionally, developers have fixed issues with disabling sound settings during calls and incorrect operation of the SOS countdown page. This should improve the stability of key safety and communication features on the devices.

The beta update is already available for testers. It can be downloaded to the watch through the system settings menu. As with other test versions, the ECG and diving functions are temporarily disabled in this build. The release date for the stable version of the update for all users has not yet been specified.
