Vampire RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker gets a September 3 release date

The Blood of Dawnwalker, the debut RPG from Rebel Wolves — a studio founded by ex-CD Projekt veterans — lands on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on September 3, 2026. The studio confirmed the date alongside pricing, editions, and a new story trailer at its "Road to Launch" event. It drops into a crowded fall window alongside Fable and Phantom Blade Zero, so the team is leaning hard on what makes it different.

The pitch

You play as Coen, a peasant in 14th-century Europe who becomes a half-vampire while trying to save his family. The hook is a 30-day in-game timer: every quest you take advances that clock, and there are no "main" versus "side" missions — all of them matter equally to the story. By day, Coen blends in as a skilled swordsman; by night, his vampire side unlocks magic abilities including mind control, wall-running, and transforming into a wolf. The studio is led by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, who directed The Witcher 3 and served as second director on Cyberpunk 2077, and the moral-grey storytelling style shows it.

Rebel Wolves describes the game as the first chapter of a larger franchise, though details on future expansions are thin for now.

Editions and pricing

Two standard digital editions are available to pre-order now. The Standard Edition ($69.99 / €69.99) includes the base game plus a future DLC — skip the pre-order and you'll pay for that DLC separately later. The Eclipse Edition ($79.99 / €79.99) adds a digital compendium, soundtrack, and artbook on top.

A Collector's Edition is also available for pre-order and includes a 23cm Coen figurine, steelbook, 60-page hardcover artbook, a 33×40cm physical map, a collector's box, a physical copy of the game for PS5, Xbox, or PC, plus digital compendium, soundtrack, and comic. Pre-ordering any edition also gets you the Sangoran Wayfarer's Armor Set at launch. UK retail pricing has not yet been confirmed at stores like GAME or on Steam.
