RedMagic 11S Pro: liquid-cooled gaming phone lands at £629 — less than a Galaxy S26
The RedMagic 11S Pro is the world's first mass-produced smartphone with liquid cooling, and it's available now in the UK for £629 — less than a Samsung Galaxy S26 (from £749) and well under an iPhone 16 Pro (from £999). In the US it goes on general sale from 19 November 2025 at $749, with preorders open from 13 November. For a phone with these specs, the price is hard to ignore.
The hardware
The chip inside is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, running at up to 4.6 GHz — the fastest mobile processor available right now. Alongside it sits Nubia's own Redcore R4 gaming chip, which handles touch optimisation, lighting effects, and render scheduling so the main processor stays focused on raw performance.
The display is a 6.85-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel with a 144 Hz refresh rate and a 3,000 Hz touch sampling rate — meaning the screen registers your taps far faster than most rivals. There's no notch or punch-hole: the 16 MP front camera sits under the display, leaving the screen completely uninterrupted.
The cooling system
Nubia calls it AquaCore — a combination of liquid cooling channels and a Wind Chaser 4.0 fan spinning at 24,000 RPM. The company claims noise stays below 30 dB, roughly the level of a quiet library. Whether that holds during a long gaming session remains to be tested, but it's a more serious thermal solution than the heat pipes found in most gaming phones.
The battery is 7,500 mAh — one of the largest in any current smartphone. RedMagic claims up to 34 hours of daily use on a charge. Wired charging tops out at 80W, with 80W wireless charging also supported on the Pro+ variant, which additionally offers a faster 120W wired option.
The extras
A built-in PC emulator connects directly to Steam, with cross-platform save syncing — positioning the phone closer to a handheld console than a typical Android device. Other specs include a dual 50 MP rear camera, a 3D ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and Wi-Fi 7.
The RedMagic UK Store ships from a UK warehouse in one to three days. T3 Review called the pricing "ridiculously low" for the spec sheet on offer. Software support runs to five years in the UK and EU — longer than the three years offered in other regions.
