Gamers will appreciate: Android 12 will let you run games without waiting for the download to finish
Google has announced new gaming experiences that will be available for Android 12 operating system.
What to expect?
One of the most useful innovations is the ability to launch the game right during installation from Google Play. That is, you save time by not waiting for the game to be fully loaded. A lightning bolt indicates that you can start playing. This is especially useful when loading "heavy" applications.
This feature works with games that use the Play Asset Delivery system. It will automatically become available to Android 12 test takers next week.
Another new feature is the addition of the Game dashboard. It will be located at the top of the screen and will allow you to take screenshots during the game, turn on the "Do not disturb" mode, change the screen refresh rate and start a live broadcast of the gameplay.
This option will be available on select devices later this year.
In addition, there are Android Game Developer Kit tools for creating and optimizing Android games. Some of these will allow developers to track their game's performance as well as CPU and GPU performance.
