Honor Win Turbo packs a 10,080mAh battery and 14 hours of gaming — but not for you
Honor's Win Turbo is a gaming phone with a genuinely enormous 10,080mAh battery — double what most flagship phones carry — launching in China on May 29. The company claims it can sustain 14 hours of continuous gaming and over 22 hours of video playback. There is no UK or US retail availability announced, and none is expected.
The battery case
The 10,080mAh cell uses silicon-carbon anode technology, which packs more capacity into a smaller physical space than conventional lithium-ion. That's how Honor avoids building a brick. Charging comes in at 80W wired — fast enough for a phone this size, though not a market record. The more interesting spec is 27W reverse wired charging: plug another phone or a pair of earbuds into the Win Turbo and it acts as a power bank, and a reasonably quick one at that.
Mid-range chip, not a flagship
The Win Turbo runs a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Elite — a mid-range processor, not the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite found in the original Honor Win. That's a meaningful step down in raw performance, scoring roughly 2.4 million on AnTuTu versus the original's 4 million-plus. For context, the competing RedMagic 11 Pro uses a Snapdragon 8 Elite and retails around €699 in Europe. The rest of the Win Turbo's specs are solid: a 1.5K LTPS display, a 50MP camera with optical image stabilisation, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. Design comes in three colours with a metal frame — civilian-looking, not the aggressive gamer aesthetic of most rivals.
One other omission worth noting: the original Win had an active cooling fan built in. The Turbo drops that entirely, relying on passive thermal management. Whether that holds up under sustained load is something reviewers will test at launch.
Availability
Honor Win Turbo launches in China on May 29, per GizmoChina. No pricing or retail plans for the UK, US, or wider Western markets have been announced. The previous Win RT did surface through German import channels at around €360, so grey-market routes are possible — but there is no official path for buyers outside China at this stage.
