Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ launches in India on June 4 — but the global Edge 70 Pro already has its best features
Motorola is launching the Edge 70 Pro+ in India on June 4, pitching it as an upgrade over the standard Edge 70 Pro. The catch: the global Edge 70 Pro — already on sale in the UK for £749.99 — includes the two headline additions the Pro+ is supposedly bringing. No UK or US launch date for the Pro+ has been confirmed.

The Edge 70 Pro+ arrives with three changes over the base model, per insider leaks: a periscope telephoto lens, wireless charging support, and a new 16GB RAM configuration. The India price is expected to come in under $525. Those first two features, however, already appear on the global Edge 70 Pro. As GSMArena confirms, the global variant ships with a 50MP periscope telephoto camera (3.5x optical zoom) and 15W wireless charging — the same specs the Pro+ is now promoting in India.
Everything else carries over from the Edge 70 Pro unchanged. That means a 6.8-inch AMOLED display running at 144Hz with up to 5,200 nits of brightness and HDR10+ support. Power comes from a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme chip with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The 6,500mAh battery charges at 90W over the wire.
On the design side, the Pro+ is expected in Satin Wine Red and a wood-finish option alongside the Pantone-certified colorways (Zinfandel, Chicory Coffee, Lily White, Titan) already sold globally — though those new finishes haven't been independently confirmed outside the original leak.
What this means in the UK and US
The Edge 70 Pro is already available in the UK at £749.99, and European pricing sits around €799–€899 according to Android Headlines. If you're in the market for a mid-range phone with a periscope camera and wireless charging right now, the global Edge 70 Pro already delivers both.
The Pro+ debut is effectively a regional refresh for India, where the original launch skipped those features. Whether Motorola will bring the Plus variant to Western markets — and at what price — remains unclear. The 16GB RAM option is the one spec the global model doesn't currently offer, so that may be the distinguishing factor if a broader rollout does happen.
For now, there's no reason to wait unless Motorola announces something new for the US or UK.
