Hisense U7SE Mini-LED TVs launch with 144Hz and Devialet audio — but not here yet
Hisense has launched the U7SE, a new Mini-LED 4K TV line that combines a 144Hz refresh rate, quantum-dot colour, and audio tuned by French hi-fi brand Devialet — all at a starting price equivalent to around $670. The catch: the U7SE is currently exclusive to India, per Gizmochina, and there is no confirmed timeline for US or UK availability. If you're shopping now, Hisense's predecessor U7Q — a 55" 144Hz Mini-LED model — is already on sale at Currys UK from around £699.
The TV
The U7SE comes in five sizes: 55, 65, 75, 85, and 100 inches. All use Full-Array Local Dimming Mini-LED backlighting, which controls brightness in small zones across the panel to produce deeper blacks and more accurate highlights. Hisense's Hi-QLED quantum dot layer handles colour, and an onboard Hi-View AI Engine chip handles upscaling and scene optimisation in real time. The 100-inch model gets the more powerful Pro version of that chip.
The display supports Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+ Adaptive, and Filmmaker Mode — the main HDR formats you'll encounter on streaming services. A built-in ambient light sensor adjusts picture settings automatically based on room lighting.
The Hisense U7SE series spans five screen sizes from 55 to 100 inches, all with Mini-LED backlighting and Full-Array Local Dimming.
Gaming and audio
On the gaming side, all models include HDMI 2.1 ports, a native 144Hz refresh rate, VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), and AMD FreeSync Premium — the combination that reduces screen tearing and input lag when connected to a PS5, Xbox Series X, or PC. The 100-inch version adds a 165Hz Game Mode on top of that.
The audio system is a 2.1-channel setup rated at 40W with Dolby Atmos support. Hisense partnered with Devialet — the Paris-based audio company known for its premium amplifiers — to tune the speakers. The Hisense Devialet partnership covers both the U7 and U8 series, and positions the brand's sound quality above most budget TV competitors. The TV runs VIDAA Smart OS with hands-free voice control and access to major streaming platforms.
What to do now
There's no word on when the U7SE reaches the US or UK. For now, the U7Q remains the closest Hisense option on this side of the world — solid specs at a fair price, even if the newer Devialet audio and updated AI processing haven't arrived yet. TCL's A400 Pro also competes in the same 144Hz Mini-LED bracket if you need something today.
