DJI's First GaN Charger Does 140W on Two USB-C Ports for Just $30

DJI is better known for drones than desk accessories, but the company just launched its first standalone GaN charger: the DJI Power 140W GaN Adapter. Priced at $30, it delivers 140W on each of two USB-C ports and takes direct aim at Anker and Baseus, which charge $40–50 for comparable hardware. Availability outside China hasn't been confirmed at major US or UK retailers yet.

The hardware

GaN (gallium nitride) chips run cooler and more efficiently than silicon, which is how DJI squeezed this adapter down to 245g and 68 × 32 × 64mm — roughly the footprint of a sticky-note pad. A foldable plug keeps the package clean in a bag or pocket.

The two USB-C ports support PD 3.1, the latest fast-charging standard, at up to 140W each. That's enough to fully charge a MacBook Pro at full speed. A single USB-A port adds 33W for older cables and accessories. Dynamic power allocation adjusts output in real time as devices are added or removed, and — unlike cheaper multi-port chargers — disconnecting one cable doesn't interrupt charging on the others.

Per GizmoChina, the adapter is part of DJI's growing DJI Power series, which already includes the Power 1000 portable station with its own dual 140W USB-C outputs.

The platform angle

DJI claims its own devices get priority charging speed when plugged in — useful if you need a drone battery back in the air fast. That claim hasn't been independently tested yet, so treat it with some caution for now.

At $30, the price is aggressive. Anker's 140W PD 3.1 adapter runs around $50 on Amazon, and Baseus sits in the $45 range. DJI's move looks like a deliberate effort to pull users into a full DJI power ecosystem — chargers, stations, and batteries all from one brand.

Availability

No official listing has appeared on the DJI US Store or at retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, or Currys in the UK. The $30 price point is confirmed for launch but regional pricing may differ. If you need a 140W GaN charger right now, third-party options from Anker and Baseus remain the safe bet — but DJI's entry, if widely available, will be hard to ignore at that price.
