Two of the biggest Korean-developed action games are making their way to Nintendo Switch 2 this year, signaling a clear shift away from PlayStation exclusivity. Both Lies of P and Stellar Blade were announced during a recent Nintendo Direct, giving Switch 2 owners a pair of well-regarded titles to look forward to in the second half of 2026.

The complete package

Lies of P Complete Edition arrives digitally on August 6, 2026, with a physical cartridge release following on October 2. The package bundles in the Overture prequel DLC, meaning new players get everything in one purchase. Pricing is set at $69.99, per Gamespress — pre-orders are already live on the eShop and at major retailers.

The original Lies of P launched in 2023 to strong reviews. Developer Round8 Studio (under Neowiz) built a challenging Soulslike around the Pinocchio fairy tale, and it punched well above its weight against FromSoftware's own catalog. A sequel is currently in active development, reportedly inspired by a different classic story.

Stellar Blade goes multiplatform

Shift Up's Stellar Blade debuted in April 2024 as a PS5 exclusive and helped the studio become an independent publicly listed company. The Switch 2 port is confirmed for 2026, though no specific date has been announced yet, reports VGC. The move marks the first time the game appears on a non-PlayStation platform.

The timing lines up with Shift Up's broader strategy. The studio recently announced a sequel — subtitled Blood Rain — and has confirmed it will publish that title independently rather than through Sony. A Switch 2 appearance for the sequel looks increasingly likely.

What this means for the platform

Both announcements point to the same trend: Korean studios that built their reputations on PlayStation are now treating Switch 2 as a genuine day-one target rather than an afterthought. For anyone who skipped these games on PS5, the Switch 2 versions offer a solid entry point — especially Lies of P, which arrives as a definitive edition with all content included.
