Sony has confirmed the PS Plus Extra and Premium game catalog additions for June 2026, and it's one of the stronger monthly lineups in recent memory. Seven titles arrive on June 16, led by Final Fantasy XVI and Kingdom Come: Deliverance — both substantial AAA games that would cost real money to buy outright. If you've been sitting on the fence about upgrading from the base PS Plus tier, this month gives you a concrete reason to reconsider.

The lineup

Final Fantasy XVI is the headline grab. Square Enix's dark action-RPG launched in 2023 to strong reviews, and it currently retails for $19.99 on the US PlayStation Store — a 60% discount that runs only until June 11. After that date, picking it up via PS Plus Extra at $17.99/month looks like the better deal, per PlayStation.Blog.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is the second standout. Warhorse Studios' medieval Bohemian RPG received a PS5 patch in February 2026 that unlocked 60 FPS performance mode, bringing it up to par with modern console standards, per GameRant. It's a slow-burn, historically grounded RPG — very different from most of what fills subscription libraries.

The full June 16 additions for Extra and Premium members:

- Final Fantasy XVI (PS5) - Sonic X Shadow Generations (PS4, PS5) - Kingdom Come: Deliverance (PS4, PS5) - Life is Strange: Double Exposure (PS5) - Farming Simulator 25 (PS5) - Blades of Fire (PS5) - Black Desert (PS5)

Premium subscribers get one more: Gitaroo Man (PS2), the cult rhythm game from 2001, added as a classic title bonus.

## Worth upgrading? PS Plus Extra costs $17.99/month in the US; Premium runs a few dollars more. Game Pass remains the main competitor, and Microsoft still holds the edge on day-one first-party releases. But a single month with Final Fantasy XVI and Kingdom Come: Deliverance already represents significant value for anyone who hasn't played either. Life is Strange: Double Exposure and Sonic X Shadow Generations round out a lineup that covers narrative, action, and platforming — broader than the usual catalog drop. Premium members should note that Gitaroo Man is exclusive to their tier and won't appear for Extra subscribers.
