Vivo X Fold 6 Shocks with 200MP Camera, 7000mAh Battery, and Bold Challenge to Flagship Rivals
While the market leaders have been refining the same designs for years, Chinese engineers continue to play the game of "who can pack more technology into a thin body." The company Vivo officially unveiled the foldable smartphone X Fold 6, which by specifications aims to leave behind the yet-unannounced iPhone Ultra and top solutions from Samsung. The device features not only an updated design but also hardware that makes competitors look somewhat conservative.
The main feature of the novelty is its approach to displays. The main foldable screen is a Samsung M14 AMOLED panel with a diagonal of 8.02 inches and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The external display is not far behind: 6.51 inches, an OLED matrix from BOE, and a similar refresh rate. Both panels support brightness adjustment to a record 1 nit, allowing you to read the news feed in complete darkness without straining your eyes. TÜV Rheinland Eye Protection 3.0 certification is not just for show, but a real bonus for those who don't put their smartphone down 24/7.
Hardware and Autonomy Without Compromises
Inside operates a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 (Super Edition) processor. But even more interesting is the battery. Vivo managed to install a semi-solid-state battery with a capacity of 7000 mAh. This is an impressive figure for a foldable device where every millimeter of space is worth its weight in gold. For those who are always in a hurry, 80W wired charging and 40W wireless charging are provided. Even if you find yourself in extreme conditions, the smartphone promises not to "die" - functionality is declared at temperatures down to -20 °C, and the body is protected by IP5X, IPX8, and even IPX9 standards.
Zeiss Optics and Artificial Intelligence
The cameras were traditionally developed in collaboration with Zeiss. The main 200 MP module (HPB sensor) is complemented by two 50-megapixel sensors: an ultra-wide-angle and a periscope with 3x optical zoom. Image processing is handled by Vivo's proprietary V3+ chip, which should minimize digital noise and enhance night shooting.
The software part also received an update in the form of OriginOS 6 Fold. The "Atomic Workbench" function allows opening up to four applications simultaneously, finally making the large screen useful rather than just big. Artificial intelligence helps recognize text on the fly, translate documents, and automatically fill out forms by dragging data between windows.

Price and Configurations
Vivo's pricing policy remains relatively humane when compared to "ultra-flagships" from other brands:
- 12/256 GB — $1180 (48000 UAH);
- 12/512 GB — $1325 (54000 UAH);
- 16/512 GB — $1475 (60000 UAH);
- 16/1 TB — $1620 (66000 UAH).
For exclusive enthusiasts, Folding Professional Image Set packages are offered: the Blue Hole version (16 GB/1 TB) will cost $1770 (73000 UAH), and Black Gold — $1810 (74000 UAH).
Amid such technological races, even old brands try to remind themselves, albeit in another segment: recently, Commodore lowered the price of a retro smartphone after a wave of critical reviews, offering users a kind of compromise.
