Company of Heroes 3: Final Stand is a standalone roguelite spin-off out July 29

Canadian studio Relic Entertainment has announced Company of Heroes 3: Final Stand, a standalone roguelite wave-defense spin-off launching July 29, 2026 on Steam. At $29.99 in the US and £23.99 in the UK, it's priced well below a full-price release — and you don't need to own Company of Heroes 3 to play it.

What it is

Final Stand trades the traditional RTS formula for something closer to a tower-defense roguelite. Instead of capturing objectives or managing a campaign map, you hold a position against 12 escalating waves of enemies. Between waves, you pick upgrades and unit abilities that carry through the run, making each session play out differently. Thirty-six boss units and 18 dynamic events add further variety. Eight difficulty levels run from beginner to veteran, so the game should be approachable whether you've never touched a Relic title or have sunk hundreds of hours into the series.

Four factions are playable: US Forces, British Forces, Wehrmacht, and the Deutsches Afrikakorps — all set on World War II battlefields across five maps. The game supports solo play and two-player online co-op, and Relic says both modes are equally well balanced.

The price and the discount

At launch, everyone gets a 10% discount off the base price — $26.99 / £21.59. If you already own Company of Heroes 3, an additional 20% bundle discount stacks on top, bringing the price down further. Both discounts are time-limited, so picking it up early makes financial sense for existing fans.

The same day Final Stand arrives, Relic is also shipping patch 2.5.0 for Company of Heroes 3, signaling the studio isn't done supporting the 2023 base game.

Looking ahead

Final Stand fits into a broader anniversary push. The Company of Heroes franchise turns 20 this year, and a Definitive Edition remaster of the original game is due in fall 2026. This spin-off, at an accessible price point and with no barrier to entry, looks like Relic's way of drawing in players who never took the plunge on the mainline series.

Final Stand is PC-only via Steam — no console version is planned. Full details and the store page are live now on Steam Official, with pricing confirmed via Games Press.
