Nothing Ear (3a) launches July 7 in four colors at €99

Nothing is launching the Ear (3a) tomorrow, July 7, at 11:00 BST — its latest budget wireless earbuds priced at around €99 (roughly £79 or $99 based on the previous Ear (a) pricing). The reveal comes alongside the Nothing Phone (4b), making it a two-product event for the British brand.

The look

Official marketing renders, shared ahead of the event by German insider Roland Quandt via WinFuture, confirm four color options: White, Black, Yellow, and Pink. The pink variant is new for Nothing's earbud line — the brand has offered bold colorways on its phones before, but this is the first time that extends to its earbuds. Black and White are the standard picks; Yellow and Pink are for anyone who wants the design to stand out.

What's inside

Nothing hasn't confirmed the full spec sheet yet. Leaked marketing materials suggest 12mm drivers — one millimeter larger than the 11mm units in the Ear (a) — along with LDAC and Hi-Res Audio Wireless support. Whether the Ear (3a) includes active noise cancellation (ANC) is still unconfirmed, which matters at this price point where rivals like the Sony WF-C710N and Samsung Galaxy Buds FE both offer ANC.

The price and competition

The €99 price, confirmed by French retail insider billbil-kun via Dealabs, holds the same line as the Ear (a) at its 2024 launch — no price hike despite inflation. In the UK, the Ear (3) has drifted down to around £79 in retail, so Nothing will need the Ear (3a) to justify itself on specs when the full picture emerges tomorrow. US availability hasn't been officially announced; Nothing's US presence is primarily online and through Best Buy.

All remaining details — battery life, wireless charging, ANC — drop at the official launch on July 7.
