Belkin's new power bank has a built-in USB-C cable — and can charge your laptop
If you've ever pulled a power bank out of your bag only to realize the cable is sitting on your desk at home, Belkin's latest accessory is aimed squarely at you. The company has launched a 10,000 mAh power bank with a built-in USB-C cable, initially releasing it in China at 269 CNY — roughly $37. A global rollout is expected to follow, though no firm US or UK date has been confirmed yet.
The hardware
The integrated cable delivers up to 45W, which is enough to meaningfully charge a MacBook Air or similar compact laptop — not just a phone. That's a notable step up from the Belkin US official lineup currently on shelves, where integrated-cable models top out at 30W. There's also a second USB-C port on the body rated at 45W, plus a USB-A port at 18W for older cables and accessories. Charging multiple devices simultaneously will split the total output between them, so don't expect both USB-C ports running at full speed at once.
The display is a genuine upgrade over the norm. Instead of four LED dots that leave you guessing whether you're at 25% or 5%, there's a numeric percentage readout on the side panel. Small detail, big practical difference when you're deciding whether to top up before leaving the house. The unit comes in black, blue, and sand.
The integrated-cable trade-off
Built-in cables are no longer a niche quirk. According to market data, 68% of the best-selling power banks in 2026 now ship with an integrated cable. Convenience is the obvious draw, but durability is the real question. GearLab cable fatigue testing found integrated USB-C connectors failing at a median of 412 bends, compared to 1,200-plus for detachable alternatives. That's worth keeping in mind if you're planning to use this daily for years.
The competitive set is strong. Anker's Nano 10K sits around $30–$36 with 30W output and a built-in cable, making it the budget benchmark. INIU and UGREEN both offer 45W integrated-cable options, so Belkin isn't alone at the top end, per Engadget 2026 review.
Availability and price
The China launch price of ~$37 undercuts Belkin's current US pricing — existing 10K and 20K integrated-cable models retail at $39.99–$49.99 on Belkin.com, Amazon, and Best Buy. Whether the new 45W, digital-display model lands at a similar price point in the US and UK remains to be seen. Given Belkin's typical APAC-first rollout pattern, expect more details within the coming months.
