Google Pixel Watch 5: prices, colors, and release date leaked

Google's Pixel Watch 5 is getting a price hike — but not evenly. Leaked pricing from reliable Dealabs tipster billbil-kun shows the 41mm models rising by £20 in the UK and €20 in Europe, while 45mm prices hold steady outside the US. The watch goes on sale August 20, weeks ahead of last year's October shipping window.

The lineup

Wi-Fi-only models survive despite earlier FCC document rumors suggesting Google might drop them entirely. The full range sticks with two sizes — 41mm and 45mm — each available in Bluetooth/Wi-Fi or 4G LTE. There's no 5G. Under the hood, a custom Google Tensor wearable chip is expected to replace the current Qualcomm Snapdragon W5, with battery life potentially stretching to around 36 hours on always-on display, up from 24. Those figures are still unconfirmed.

On colors: the 41mm gets four options — Pyrite (a green shade, though some sources call it tan), Silver, Anthracite, and Gold. The 45mm drops Gold, leaving three choices.

In the UK, 41mm buyers pay £20 more than they did for the Watch 4 — base rises from £349 to £369. The 45mm holds at £399 and £499. The US sees the sharpest increases: both 45mm variants rise by $30, pushing the base 41mm to $399 — level with Apple Watch Series 11. As 9to5Google notes, this marks the first series-wide price increase for Pixel Watch.

What to keep in mind

Against Apple Watch SE at £249 and Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 starting around £179, the Pixel Watch 5 sits firmly in the premium tier. Whether the Tensor chip and longer battery life justify the uptick depends on specs Google hasn't confirmed yet.

Google's Made by Google event is set for August 12. Pre-orders open August 13, and retail availability follows on August 20 — a notably tight seven-day window between pre-order and ship date compared to the usual six-to-eight weeks.
