Pixel Watch 5 leaks in full: four colors, familiar design, and a $50 price bump

Google's Pixel Watch 5 has effectively been revealed by leakers before Google gets the chance. Insider Steve Hemmerstoffer (OnLeaks), working with TheTideChart, published high-quality press renders nearly a month before Google's August 12 Made by Google event. The images show every color and size — and separately, pricing leaked by Dealabs confirms the first price increase in four years.

The look

The design sticks closely to what Watch 4 owners already know: a domed glass face, a smooth round case, and the same strap attachment system. The charging contact layout is also unchanged, which means existing Pixel Watch 4 bands and chargers will work with the new model — a low barrier for anyone upgrading.

Four colors are confirmed: Dark Anthracite, Natural Silver, a new Pyrite finish (described as a matte green-gold depending on the light), and Warm Gold. The last one appears on the 41mm only, paired with a coral strap. Both 41mm and 45mm sizes are available in the other three colors, though the 45mm Warm Gold variant hasn't been ruled out for retail.

The price

This is where things shift. The 41mm Wi-Fi model is expected to launch at $399 in the US — up $50 from the Pixel Watch 4's $349. That puts it level with the Apple Watch Series 11 entry price, erasing the value gap Google held last year. In the UK, the 41mm is reported at £369, matching Apple's MSRP rather than undercutting it.

The 45mm LTE configuration is expected to reach $529, a $30 US increase. In Europe, however, the 45mm holds steady — only the 41mm rises, from €399 to €419. That regional asymmetry means smaller-wrist buyers absorb more of the cost than larger-wrist ones, at least on the continent.

AI component cost inflation is cited as the driver, and Samsung's Galaxy Watch 9 is reportedly facing similar increases of €30–€50 in Europe, so this isn't Google acting alone.

What's next

Pre-orders open August 13 — the day after the Made by Google announcement — with retail sales starting August 20. That's a compressed seven-day window between announcement and shipping, a faster turnaround than the six-to-eight weeks Google used previously. US retail partners including Best Buy have not yet confirmed stock levels.

Hardware specs, including whether the Watch 5 runs a custom Tensor chip or a Snapdragon W5, remain unconfirmed ahead of the official reveal.
