Belkin's new power bank has a pop-out motion-sensing night light
Belkin has launched a power bank with a built-in motion-sensing LED night light — a combination that's genuinely novel in the crowded portable charger market. The BoostCharge Pro Power Bank 10K went on sale in China via JD.com at 329 yuan (roughly $49), but there's no confirmed release date for the US, UK, or anywhere else.
The light side
The headline feature is a pop-out LED module with a motion sensor. Point it toward your bedroom doorway and it'll illuminate automatically when you get up at night — no fumbling for a phone screen or a lamp switch. Belkin also includes touch-based brightness control and an SOS strobe mode. The company suggests using the LED panel as fill light for video calls or selfies, which makes sense given Belkin's close ties to the Apple ecosystem and the home-office crowd.
The built-in braided USB-C cable is a practical addition. Cables have a habit of disappearing or fraying at the worst moment, so having one permanently attached removes that problem entirely.
The specs
Output peaks at 45W — enough for smartphones, tablets, and lighter laptops. It supports USB Power Delivery (PD) and PPS protocols. Plug two devices in at once (via the cable and the second USB-C port) and the power splits 30W to the primary device and 15W to the second. The 10,000mAh capacity covers roughly one and a half to two full charges of a modern smartphone. The unit weighs 257g and measures 118 × 60 × 32mm — comparable to other 10K power banks, though slightly bulkier to house the LED module. Two colors are available: blue and orange. A digital percentage display shows the exact battery level, which beats the vague four-dot indicators found on cheaper units.
Availability question mark
Right now, per GizmoChina, this is a China-exclusive launch. There's no listing on Belkin's US or UK sites, and no sign of it at Amazon, Best Buy, or John Lewis. At around $49 converted from the Chinese price, it would sit in a competitive but reasonable spot between budget motion-sensor night lights ($10–20) and premium power banks ($50–70) — if and when it arrives. Belkin has made no announcement about a Western rollout timeline.
