TCL's New WOLED Gaming Monitors Hit 480Hz — But You Can't Buy Them Yet
TCL has launched two new gaming monitors in China built on fourth-generation Tandem WOLED panels, with peak speeds up to 480Hz and built-in audio tuned by Bang & Olufsen. The flagship 32X3B starts at $960 during pre-order ($1,180 at retail) — undercutting ASUS ROG Swift OLED equivalents that run $1,300 or more. No US or UK release date has been announced.
The hardware
The 32X3B is a 32-inch panel with a dual-mode trick: it runs either 4K at 240Hz or drops to 1080p to hit 480Hz, depending on what your game demands. Peak brightness reaches 1,500 nits, color coverage hits 99.5% of DCI-P3, and response time is rated at 0.03ms. Connectivity includes DisplayPort 2.1, two HDMI 2.1 ports, and a full-function USB-C with up to 90W power delivery. A built-in KVM switch handles two USB-A devices — useful if you run a shared keyboard and mouse across a PC and console.

The smaller 27X3B is a 27-inch 1440p panel at 280Hz. It matches the flagship on brightness and color, but skips USB-C and the KVM switch — you get DisplayPort 1.4, two HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5mm audio jack instead.
Both monitors sit in a 6.4mm-thin "Stargate" chassis with an adjustable stand and rear ambient lighting. TCL's Matrix-Pure pixel structure is designed to reduce the color fringing that has plagued earlier WOLED displays when rendering sharp text. A circular-polarized glossy coating brings reflectivity down to 1.1%, which helps maintain black depth in lit rooms. TCL calls its burn-in protection system Kunlun Anti-Burn Shield, combining software algorithms with thermal management.

The competitive gap
On paper, the 32X3B slots in below LG's own 480Hz 27GX790B (around $999) and well under ASUS's top WOLED panels, per TweakTown. The B&O; audio co-tuning is a genuine differentiator — most gaming monitors treat speakers as an afterthought. But LG UltraGear and ASUS ROG panels are already on shelves in the US and UK with established warranty and support networks.
As KitGuru notes, no international pricing or retail timeline has been confirmed. TCL's previous-gen 32X3A reached Europe roughly three months after its China debut, so a late 2026 Western launch is plausible — but not guaranteed. If and when the X3B series lands outside China, the pricing will likely shift once local taxes and distribution costs are factored in.
