PS Plus August 2026: Big Walk, Dying Light 2, and Signalis are your free games
Sony has confirmed the three free games hitting PlayStation Plus in August 2026, and they're available to every subscriber — Essential, Extra, and Premium alike — from August 4 through August 31. The headliner is Big Walk, a brand-new co-op title launching day one on PS Plus, made by House House, the Australian studio behind Untitled Goose Game.
The new arrival
Big Walk is the most interesting addition. House House and publisher Panic release it simultaneously on PS5, Windows, and macOS on August 4, meaning PS Plus subscribers get it at launch with no wait. The game supports two to twelve players in co-op, built around exploration, puzzle-solving, and unearthing secrets in an open world. Proximity voice chat is required for multiplayer — there's no public matchmaking, so you'll need friends to play with. It's a walking sim with a social spine, and early critical reception has been warm. Note: Big Walk is PS5-only on console.
The zombie sequel
Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition fills the AAA slot. Techland's parkour-and-combat open-world game is set in the fictional city of Villedor and supports four-player co-op. The Reloaded Edition bundles in the Bloody Ties DLC at no extra cost. It runs on both PS4 and PS5, and it's a direct follow-up to Dying Light, which appeared on PS Plus the previous month — convenient timing if you finished the first game and want to continue.
The sleeper hit
Signalis rounds out the trio. The 2022 survival horror indie from developer rose-engine earned strong critical praise on release but stayed niche. Players navigate a bleak sci-fi world, solve puzzles, and fight monsters while uncovering the story of a civilization's collapse. It's a PS4 title, so PS5 owners will need to run it via backward compatibility. If you missed it the first time, this is a solid chance to catch up.
All three games can be claimed between August 4 and August 31, 2026, according to the PlayStation Blog. The platform split — Big Walk on PS5, Signalis on PS4, Dying Light 2 on both — means what you can play depends on which console you own, so check compatibility before you claim.
