Don't expect anything new on screen. The patch is purely a security fix — no interface changes, no added features, and nothing in the settings menu looks different afterward. According to Sammy Fans, the update addresses 58 vulnerabilities in total: 38 Google CVEs (common software flaws tracked industry-wide) and 18 Samsung-specific issues. That's a meaningful haul of fixes, even if the update itself is invisible once installed.

What about the Galaxy S23?
The S23 series got the same August patch in South Korea at the same time, but European owners are still waiting. Samsung hasn't given a timeline for when the S23 update will reach the UK, US, or the rest of Europe. If you're on an S23, the fix is coming — just not yet.
To check whether your S24 has received the update, go to Settings → Software update → Download and install. Rollout is staged, so not every device gets it on the same day. If the notification hasn't appeared automatically, a manual check usually speeds things along.
