PS Plus September 2026: Sniper Elite: Resistance, MLB The Show 26, and two indie picks

PlayStation Plus subscribers can claim four new games starting September 1, 2026, and keep them as long as their subscription is active. The lineup covers every tier — Essential, Extra, and Premium — with no upgrade required. Games leave the rotation on October 5, so there are five weeks to add them to your library.

The lineup

Sniper Elite: Resistance (PS5/PS4) is the tactical stealth shooter Rebellion released in January 2025. Set in Nazi-occupied France and running parallel to the events of Sniper Elite 5, it earned a 73 on Metacritic — competent but not a standout. Landing on PS Plus eight months after launch gives it a second audience, and it's a solid pick if you missed it. PlayStation Official confirmed the full September lineup.

MLB The Show 26 (PS5 only) arrives just as the pennant-race stretch run heats up. PS5 owners also get the Jump Start Bundle — five Show Packs, an Equipment Pack, and a Jumpstart Choice Pack — which helps new players get a foothold in the Diamond Dynasty card-collecting mode. Note that PS4 is not supported for this one, per Operation Sports. The Jump Start Bundle window closes a day later, on October 6.

Wobbly Life (PS5/PS4) is a co-op open-world physics sandbox supporting up to four players. It spent five years in early access before hitting version 1.0 in September 2025, and it's the kind of game that works best with friends in the same room — or on the same couch.

Chained Echoes (PS4) rounds out the month as the only solo experience in the bunch. A 16-bit-style JRPG developed entirely by one person — Matthias Linda — it draws heavily from Final Fantasy VI and has quietly built a devoted following since its 2022 release.

What to do

Head to the PlayStation Store before October 5 and add all four to your library even if you don't plan to play them immediately — claiming them now means you keep access as long as your subscription is active. MLB The Show 26 requires a PS5; the other three work on both PS5 and PS4, per TechLoy.
