Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 3 prices leaked — four-pack gets a $10 hike

Samsung's next Bluetooth tracker, the Galaxy SmartTag 3, is shaping up for a fall 2026 release — and leaked prices suggest it will cost roughly the same as its predecessor for a single unit, but more if you buy in bulk. French insider billbil-kun, publishing via Dealabs, puts the single-unit price at €40, keeping it in line with the SmartTag 2 at launch, while the four-pack rises €10 to €140. If you're in the market for a tracker, this is the first concrete pricing signal for Samsung's first new finder in three years.

The price picture

The €40 figure from billbil-kun clashes with earlier reports. SammyGuru spotted a retail listing at €45.95, while SamMobile has cited figures as low as €28 in some European channels. On the US side, a wholesale distributor listing points to $29.99 per unit, or around $100 for a four-pack. None of these numbers are official — Samsung has not confirmed pricing or availability in any market — so treat all figures as early channel estimates rather than final MSRPs.

For UK buyers, the current SmartTag 2 retails at £34 on the Samsung store. A $29.99 US price translates to roughly £24 at current rates, which would represent a meaningful undercut — but whether UK pricing will follow the US lead or track closer to the European figures is unknown.

The new design

The SmartTag 3 moves away from the pill shape of its predecessor to a squircle — a rounded-square form that's becoming common in the tracker category. The central physical button carries over, used for triggering phone-finding and Samsung's Modes and Routines automations. One notable change: there's no built-in keyring hole. You'll need a separate case or accessory to attach it to keys or a bag strap.

Specs include Bluetooth 6.0, UWB (ultra-wideband) for precision finding when you're close to the tracker, and IP67 or IP68 water and dust resistance. It integrates with Samsung Find, the company's crowdsourced location network. Colors at launch are black and white only.

Ecosystem trade-off

The SmartTag 3 only works within Samsung's ecosystem — you need a Galaxy device to set it up and use it. That's a narrower net than rivals: AirTag 2 is priced around £15–19 and works across all Apple devices, while Tile operates cross-platform. Samsung's closed network approach keeps the SmartTag 3 a Galaxy-owners-only proposition, which is worth factoring in if you're buying for a household with mixed devices.

Samsung hasn't mentioned the SmartTag 3 publicly, but insiders consistently point to a September or October 2026 announcement alongside other Galaxy hardware.
