Xiaomi's HyperOS 4 rollout starts October 15 — here's when your device gets it
Xiaomi has published its official HyperOS 4 rollout schedule, kicking off on 15 October 2026 with the Xiaomi 17 series and Redmi K-series flagships. The plan covers more than 100 devices — phones, tablets, TVs, and wearables — spread across six deployment waves ending in January 2027. If you own a recent Xiaomi flagship outside China, expect the stable update roughly four to six weeks after the China release, based on historical patterns.
The first devices
The opening wave, starting 15 October, goes to the newest hardware first. That means the Xiaomi 17 Ultra (including the Leica Edition), 17 Pro Max, 17 Pro, and base 17, plus the Redmi K100 Pro Max, K100 Pro, K90 Pro Max, K90 Champion Edition, and the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro and Pad 8. A second wave follows by 31 October, adding the Xiaomi 17 Max, 17T Pro, 17T, and several Redmi Turbo 5 models.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra launched globally in early 2026 at around £1,000+ in the UK. Global beta recruitment for HyperOS 4 began on 10 September, per Gizmochina, with EEA stable builds expected to follow China's release by that typical four-to-six-week window, according to Xiaomi for All.
Mid-range and legacy devices
November waves bring the Xiaomi 15 series, the MIX Flip 2, and the popular Redmi Note 15 and 17 lines — the mid-range models most owners actually use. December targets older flagships like the Xiaomi 13 and 14 series, foldables including the MIX Fold 3 and MIX Fold 4, and the first batch of smart TVs and Xiaomi Watch 5 wearables. The sixth and final wave, in January 2027, covers additional TVs, the Watch S4, Redmi Watch 6, and the Mi Band 10 and 10 Pro.

What to expect globally

No UK- or US-specific stable release date has been officially announced. Apple and Samsung both publish unified global update schedules for their flagships, which gives Xiaomi a perception gap to close in the premium segment. For now, the best guide is the China release date plus a few weeks.
