Tecno Pova 8 Pro Lamborghini Edition: supercar looks, midrange guts
Tecno has launched the Pova 8 Pro 5G Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition, a co-branded phone built around aggressive red-and-black styling rather than top-tier hardware. The handset is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chip — solidly midrange — paired with a 6.78-inch 144Hz AMOLED display and a 6,500mAh battery with 45W charging. No pricing or availability has been confirmed for the US or UK.
The look
The rear panel is the whole point here. Tecno used a dual-layer construction: one layer enhances brightness and reflections, while a second hides internal mirror structures that reveal red accents only when the viewing angle shifts. The central Pulse Line and surrounding Signature Shield pattern draw from Lamborghini body lines, air vents, and exhaust elements — in phone form. It weighs 189g and comes in a carbon-fiber-look TPU and polycarbonate case in the box, alongside a braided cable and custom charger.
Software got similar treatment. Tecno says it spent nearly four months developing custom boot animations, wallpapers, icons, and ringtones — all in black and red with geometric shapes. The Alive Matrix Display flashes a styled "L" on every unlock.

The Tonino Lamborghini name is a lifestyle brand founded in 1981, separate from the Italian automaker. Tecno's parent company, Transsion Holdings, first revealed the multi-year partnership at MWC in March 2026. A comparable deal — Infinix Note 60 Ultra with Pininfarina — launched around the same time, with similarly thin details about Western availability.
In-box accessories include a braided cable, custom charger, and a carbon-look TPU case.
The reality check
The Dimensity 7400 is a capable chip, but at any price above $400 it faces stiff competition. OnePlus and Motorola both offer phones with equivalent or faster processors through established US and UK retail channels. Tecno has not announced a US, UK, or EU launch date, and the standard Pova 8 Pro starts at around ₹49,999 in India — roughly $600 at current exchange rates — before any Lamborghini markup. That's a tough sell against phones with clearer warranties, carrier support, and after-sales networks.
If you're drawn to bold design in this price range, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro and OnePlus 13R both offer distinctive styling with confirmed availability. The Tecno Pova 8 Pro Lamborghini Edition is visually interesting, but until a price and launch date land for English-speaking markets, it's more concept than consumer product.
