Xiaomi Sound: smart speaker with fine design, surround sound and Harman settings for $77

During today's presentation, Xiaomi also introduced a smart speaker called Xiaomi Sound.

What's special?

This is a rather compact gadget, the dimensions of which are 134 × 134 × 128 mm, and the weight is only 940 g. It has a cylindrical shape with a round surface with a touch control panel and LED indicator. It seems to be separated from the case, which gives an elegant design to the device.

It is equipped with 12W speakers, produces surround sound and supports Hi-Res Audio. In addition, Xiaomi Sound received Harman AudioEFX technology, which, according to the manufacturer, allows you to improve the sound quality of any device by 50% thanks to a series of algorithms that regulate bass, treble, volume and other parameters.

You can also combine multiple speakers to create a stereo system. Moreover, the maximum number is not two, but as many as eight speakers - for example, like for a large home or office.

Price

In China Xiaomi Sound smart speaker costs $77. Whether it will enter the international market is still unknown.

At today's presentation, Xiaomi also introduced the Mi Mix 4 smartphone, the Mi Pad 5 and Mi Pad 5 Pro tablets, the CyberDog robot dog, the Mi TV 6 OLED TVs and the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced shell.
