A repairman's dream: Fairphone prepares a new modular smartphone - this time with 5G support

The Dutch company Fairphone specializes in modular, more environmentally friendly smartphones that are well repairable. And it seems to be preparing a new model for announcement.

What to Expect

The Fairphone 3 (pictured ) debuted in late August 2019, while the Fairphone 3+ was introduced almost exactly a year later. So it's no surprise that the release of the Fairphone 4 awaits us soon.

The smartphone has already passed the certification Wi-Fi Alliance, so it is known that it will run Android 11 operating system and will get 5G support. The novelty is expected to be called Fairphone 4 5G.

Unfortunately, other specifications are not yet known. But it is likely to be the same modular smartphone, which following predecessors will receive the highest rating from specialists iFixit for repairability.
